Deloraine in the central North of Tasmania is an RV friendly town, offering free overnight stays for fully self-contained vehicles just a few minutes from the centre of the small, popular tourist town of Deloraine. Deloraine offers a range of modern facilities including supermarkets, cafes, service stations, hotels and other services including a pharmacy. Deloraine is a great base to explore both the central highlands of Tasmania. As at the 2011 Australian Census Burnie had an urban population of fewer than 3,000 people. This free overnight stop is not the most attractive on a number of RV friendly towns in Tasmania but offers good shade and an alternative to the nearby Deloraine Caravan Park.
