Latrobe RV Friendly Town

CURRENTLY CLOSED – Effective from 4/7/22 until app. April 2023

Latrobe Council wishes to advise that from Monday July 4 2022 camping at the Cotton Street Overnight Stopover will be closed until further notice, most likely until April 2023. The Council has decided to close the site during construction of the flood mitigation works, on account of recent changes to elements of the construction program that create safety and amenity issues, which cannot be adequately mitigated any other way. Alternative camping sites within the Latrobe municipality are still available at the Port Sorell Caravan Park, Moomba Caravan Park and the Latrobe Mersey River Caravan Park.
A decision on re-opening will be made further into the levee construction program.
